The sun shines;
And as it persuades the water to glisten,
It makes even the dullest of flowers stunning.
For those who stop to look,
The sun shines on.
The rain drops;
Bringing essential water to those who call for it,
Wash away sin and evil.
A sign of hope amidst the chaos comes once more,
Then the sun shines on.
The wind blows;
It brings reminiscent scents with memories of innocence, reawakening dim souls.
Yet... it has a dark side. Causing confusion with whirls of debris.
But then it forces the clouds to move on once again
And the sun shines on.
The snow falls;
Bringing masks of white to the world blanketing the trees, one by one,
Though beautiful, it calls for you, alone...
And it's time comes and goes.
While the sun shines on.
The lightning strikes;
Clouding the horizon in white stripes,
It lashes out at those who dare to walk the streets.
Roaring, shaking, its vile cries are heard throughout mother earth.
But the sun shines on.
The waves crash;
Smashing against the innocent ground,
Expressing angst and hate, with a defiance of the world.
The waves destroy, with fury of darkness.
The sun will shine on.
The quakes come;
And the earth opens wide, swallowing areas whole.
Always hungry for more, it strikes unexpectedly.
Stealing possessions never to be seen again, and disappearing forever.
Still, the sun shines on.
The sun shines on.
Throughout the panic and confusion,
The sun shines on.
Even when the dark veils of the earth swallow out joy,
The sun shines on.
When happiness seems so far away,
The sun shines on.
And it lives in my heart forevermore.
