Reflection in the Water

by Wings Of Flames   May 16, 2006

I cherish your distaste,
Regardless of the pain,
Water trickling alone,
Heart bleeding through the rain,

Nothing can erase,
The lightning in the hills,
White slitted in the mist,
Yet quickly darkness fills,

I took your hand in mine,
When you feared for life,
One you 'love' cared not,
Of symbolic tears of strife,

I let you breathe with him,
You made your decision,
When I found your lies,
I tell of my incision,

You'd die before we break,
From friend to 'friend' I say,
I would've believed these words,
If I didn't die today,

The ice inside your heart,
Froze me forever in time,
Your happiness more important,
So it's ok you commit the crime,

I was hung for your deceit,
Electrocuted for your lies,
Shot through the heart,
Because you let us die.
