When we first locked eyes on each other that day
We couldn't turn and look away
You were so cute and I had so many tears coming down my face
Talk about the greatest time and place!
I had hurt my knee
And at that moment when you looked at me
I saw so much concern in your eyes.
And that night changed our lives.
Through the week, we got to know each other.
We even played cards with one another.
I would look forward to each day, because of knowing
That you would be coming.
We had inside jokes and almost knew what each other was going to say
Even now we are still close friends, I will never forget that day.
