INDIAN SUMMER

by Twisted Heart   May 16, 2006

Idle breeze on sunny days
Nature's best comes out to play
Daydreams weave a festive web
Inside the minds of children's heads
Along the banks of summer ponds
Near creeks and meadows and fresh mowed lawns

Seductions call to nature's birth
Untainted mist that clothes the earth
Memories of a childhood heart
Masking ageless works of art
Eclectic colors so serene
Rejoicing in the wake of Spring
