Despite Everything

If the wind was God's hand,
he has stripped us before,
If the rain were the tears of God,
he has cried for us poor souls many times,
If thunder was the mouth of God,
he has shouted and cursed at us before,
If lightening was the wrath of God,
His anger rings threw my veins like chimes.

God brought us to this Earth and He can take us back,
How much He still loves us despite everything we lack.

If rainbows were God's smile,
He has smiled down on us many times,
If the sun was God's face,
His presence warms us sumblime.

With us there is always two sets of footprints in the sand,
In hard times there is always one set of footprints in the sand,
When you feel like there's nothing more you can do,
God picks us up and He carries us through,
Because God brought us to this Earth and only He can take us back,
How much God loves us despite everything we lack.
