  • The night was an unwelcoming one
As fierce winds whipped the shore
Their mournful howls failing to drown out
    The grey wave's mighty roar

this is my favorite Stanza!! So powerful!! Another great write!! I couldnt change a thing!! 5/5!!

An excellent poem and concept. Although I'm not sure exactly what it is about, it is a very powerful tale of four beauties. Actually, speaking of tales, this could very well be transformed into a wonderful short story or a series of them. Great job.

Very Poe! I like this a LOT. I can't believe more people haven't said the same.

    Just a couple of things:

A fish gurgling? I would envisage it as "As her fish darts around in its bowl." I think it gives the creature's natural fear instincts a more realistic edge.

"East asked to be as beautiful
    Outside as she was in"

How about changing the 2nd bit to "Outside as SHE FELT she was in"?

It makes her sound more arrogant and deserving of her fate.

Honestly though, this is just the kind of thing I love to read. A proper, almost epic poem. Kudos to you. A rare 5.

I absolutely love dark poetry. The flow was a little off at times but overall very engrossing. Kept me reading, which is unusual.
