The Lessons of Life

by Bethan   May 16, 2006

If there's ever a lesson in life to be learnt
Its play with fire and you will get burnt,
Don't try and hold down anybody,
Give and take, be happy, be free,

If you try and stifle somebody else,
You'll only end up hurting yourself,
Everyone that you meet is priceless,
If you want to succeed then you should know this,

Respect others and their respect you will earn,
Every mistake is a lesson, and you will learn,
Don't be afraid to be true to who you are,
Show all those haters you ainâ??t having a bar,

Stand up and be counted, you're worth something too,
Forget all the wrongs that have been done to you,
Move on and let the past make you stronger,
Cos you haven't got to suffer any longer,

Love everyone until they do you wrong,
Then when they do you can easily move on,
And understand the mistakes really weren't yours,
Your ability to see will for you open doors,

Your future is bright; your future is blessed,
Life is full of obstacles; itâ??s simply a test,
And to pass all you have to do is live,
Cos everyone's beautiful with something to give,

So do your best, Give everything your all,
Dust yourself off and carry on if you fall,
Love yourself and everyone else will follow,
Cos if today's bad then there's always tomorrow,

I hope that my words have inspired you to be all you can,
It's not the end of the world if things don't go to plan,
What can I say? I am still learning things too,
But good luck in everything that you do.

I hate you! your poems are always better than mine. ahhh, well, i'm over it now, lol. that was a very, very, very......VERY good piece of work. (here's where you stopped me by the way) so, as i was saying, its very well worded and the message in certainly an important one.

P.S. maybe you should check yourself fully before leaving the house in the future. (better not have seen me type this)
