I've never gone fishing before. I really would like to sometime, just to go out on a nice big lake, relaxing on a boat. My dad will never take me. I feel a connection with this poem. It somewhat makes me a little sad.

Wonderful write! It is hard when someone expects you to follow in their footsteps...everyone likes to be their own person as we each value our individuality. There was a sad touch to this poem but I think you have expressed yourslef very well in this poem.
