The Girl

by Genna   May 17, 2006

Long lanky legs,
strutting along the curb
shiny sliver stilettos
wobbling

she stands there
alone on the corner
greying hair
and a tiny black dress

her hands, blue with cold
grip the pole tightly
the bags under her dark eyes
displaying a life of misery

she hitches up her dress
and flashes passers by
flicking her hair
parading herself

a car pulls over
she stumbles towards the window
a moment later she is gone
gone with the night...
