In The Darkness

by Bradley Peter   May 17, 2006

In the darkness
Where I sit
In the loveless
Bottomless pit
I see nothing
Not friend or foe
Just the sting
Of my bitter woe
No hand to hold
No world to see
Just a rotting cold
Inside of me
My body bare
As is my shame
In pure despair
Without a name
A dying soul
In a dead place
I have no goal
I have no face
Life was broken
Was torn apart
A useless token
Of a piece of art
Now torn away
From life itself
To always stay
All by myself
