The Things that Haunt

by Dian   May 17, 2006

Your smile haunts my thoughts.
I never knew why,
But the change in my heart
Was enough to make me cry.

Your touch haunts my senses. Unseen,
Still caressing my skin.
It awoke emotions long asleep,
Releasing them within.

Your voice still haunts my ears.
"You're beautiful." It says
as raindrops dance their best
and mix with silent tears.

Though all these things that haunt,
I'll never get an answer.
For I have been well taught,
Love can never be my master.
