Child, You Must Be Tired

by xLongxXxLostx   May 18, 2006

Getting used to the dissappointments.
Nothing to look forward to.
Child you must be tired-
from all the things you've gone through.

Just hold on now,
stay with me tonight.
Child you must be tired-
you've put up one Hell of a fight.

You grab ahold of nothing
while reaching out with both hands
Child you must be tired-
having no one who understands.

Stay here another day,
I swear it'll be alright.
Child you must be tired-
Just keep heading towards the light.

You say you've been here too long.
Give me a reason to let you go.
Child you must be tired-
Of all the truths, only I know.

Tonight I send you to rest.
Tomorrow you wont awake...
Child you must be tired-
and that well deserved sleep you'll take.....

*Dedicated to my inner child, who has long since been in a deep, undisturbed slumber....*
