Maybe For You

by *Amanda*   May 18, 2006

Maybe for you, I would do anything
Maybe, for you, I could chase any dream.
Maybe for you, I could stay with forever
Maybe, for you, I would leave never.

There's too many things in this twisted place
To many faded memories, I will be replaced, but
It's the way that you take my hand when you drive, and
That look in your face when we say good-bye
That makes me wonder if forever is just tomorrow, and
We're all drowning in an unjustified sorrow.
It's the way that stare at me,
When you think I've turned away
You're the reason I keep fighting,
Single day, after day.

I'm scared and I turn away,
This wall, though, it won't hide
All of my emotions, bursting from my insides
A well of feelings that I hope you don't see
Because my life would be over, and it just scares me.
I don't know how close I can get to being close enough
I don't know how far to act like I am
Without you calling my bluff...

Maybe for you, I can finally stop hiding how I feel
Maybe, for you, something will finally be real.
