Bleeding Beauty

by ...   May 18, 2006

It was supposed to be based upon the fairy tale sleeping beauty
lol o well, i tried :)

Crimson lips
Mid night hair
Never was there
One so fair
She lived in a castle
But it was just home
So many nights
So alone
Until one day
She fell under a boys spell
And from that day on
Life was hell
She fell so deep in love with him
She gave him her whole heart
But he didnt want it
Never did from the start
And once hed had his fun
He dropped her like a bomb
So high up, shattered on impact
And from that moment, she was gone
She felt she couldnt eat or sleep
Shed never felt like this before
To be so high up, then just fall
So utterly forlorn
She was pricked by a pin one day
But the pain was a thrill
The warmth of that drop of blood
Took away her souls chill
So everyday shed prick herself
Until she wanted more
From pins and pens to blades and knives
Anything sharp she saw
One thousand days she bled
And a thousand nights she cried
But none of it did anything
To help the pain inside
She used to think life was a fairytale
But now her prince was gone
And even after all her pain
She could not move on
So she climbed to the highest spire of her tower
Wondering why shed ever been born
And took the plunge to end all else
So shed sleep forever on a bed of thorns

Awesome!! I love how you twisted it!! Sleeping beauty is a happy ending, and I admire the way you've turned it all around to be tragic...
