In Every Single Letter.

by christina marie   May 18, 2006

In every single letter,
Of every single word,
There will always be a line,
About a boy who loves a girl.

Andy wrote a letter,
That Jane had never got.
Poor, dear little Andy,
Broken hearted wished he forgot.

Jane was real pretty,
Andy wasnt cute.
He asked her out one time,
But she gave him the boot.

Andy was a sweet boy,
He never did a wrong.
But crashing down after Jane,
He felt he didnt belong.

He tried a million times and called,
But shed never pick up the phone.
He sat up endless hours, crying,
Wondering why he was alone.

So he wrote this letter,
You know the ones you love wont ever read?
And he slit his wrists a million times,
For someone who wouldnt see him bleed.

And he cried himself to sleep at night,
With the blade tucked beneath his pillow.
Thinking of a way to die,
When he glanced out at the Old Weeping Willow.

And his words flowed red on the lines of the paper,
His pen gave into his demand.
He wrote his story of his love,
Written in his shaky hand.

And as the sun was rising,
His mother went outside,
Her face went blue, as he hung from the branch,
She saw her baby boy had died.

And on the ground his razor,
A bloody pen and note.
Written words of depression,
He never had spoke.

And in the letter,
He made a sad mock of his pain,
I know why the willow weeps
He wrote again, and again.

And of course, to Jane,
He confessed his love to her.
Scratchy handwriting, and blood smeared across,
His writing was a blur.

But in the midst of all the blood and blur,
There were the words; I love you.
And right underneath were the words.
I did this for you.

Because in every single letter,
Of every single word,
There will always be a line,
About a boy who loves a girl.

    Nice poem;

    The first stanza is a lot like a lyric i've heard. that goes like this;
"Within every single letter, in every single word
there will be a hidden message about a boy who loves a girl"

I am so sorry. I hope you and your family are all alright now, and that you are all safe and healthy. Nice work on the poem.
