The silhouette of love(Cinquain)

by Brigitte   May 18, 2006

Cravings,
For your embrace
Fill the depths of my heart.
Wishing you were right here tonight,
Please come...

Dreaming,
My nights away,
And every moment of,
Your lusciously tender soft lips,
Please come...

Trembling,
From my little knees,
At the sound of your name.
I miss everything about you,
Please come...

Desiring
Your love once more,
Wishing it never died
Our love is now a silhouette.
A muse.

This is the first poem I ever wrote like this, and it was mostly just for a new challenge! A cinquain consists of five lines. The first line has two syllables, the second line has four syllables, the third line has six syllables and the fourth line has eight syllables, the final line has two syllables:

It was beautiful and I never really read this style poem before which made it a new thing to enjoy. You could sense every word as if you could see the dream being played out in front of you and the please come felt a bit desperate as though someone was longing for someone else.
