It was all because of Him

The sun reveals the unwashed tears on her cheeks, the sadness not yet gone from her eyes. She thinks of him and reaches a hand in a cry of anguish, but no one is there to save her from drowning in her own sorrow.

Her thoughts, which are overflowing with images of him, suddenly change to despair. Her heart throbs from all the pain until she thinks she might burst from it all.

She is trapped inside herself like that of a caged bird begging for freedom. Her life is slipping away from her grasp vanishing into the nothingness that consumes her very being.

She thinks once more of those happy times and feels the need to be with him. An overwhelming desire to be close to him and only him.

Him, who was once her joy and tragedy. Him,who left her alone in this ominous state. Him, who made her this way, left forever with the haunting memories or lost dreams and lost souls. Her once favorite fantasy has now become her worst nightmare.

She swallows and wonders if she will ever be released from this superficial world that refuses to cut loose its taut bindings that are wrapped around her.

She fears its venomous rage that threatens to permanently terminate her from reality. She screams out as she loses her sense of time that is swiftly being erased from her.

It does not help and she slowly closes her eyes, to forever lay sleeping, on the edge of her own death.

It was all because of Him.
