Back to her old habits

Shes in her mid 20s, but back in high school
Doing pot with her friends because it makes her so cool
She started in her teen years, tried a lot to quit
She questioned why she smokes and many times went through with it

Fails her urine test for jobs, she still lives at home
She always wonders why she is so alone
Tried to get pregnant twice, thinking that make her stop
But each time she failed, the drugs came out on top

Her younger brother now following in the same footsteps as her
Both of them now clueless on their life and future
Their 14 year old cousin, wishes theyd look to her in admiration
She knows where shes going, the exact destination

They look at their current health and body shape
Both sinking to depression because their forming like grapes
He wants to play sports; she wants to go to college
Hes got the athletic body, shes got the knowledge

The mothers not a good example, but sits and always prays
That somehow her daughter get it together, and her son get good grades
The weeps and claims to be a lost soul
Tired of people staring asking if she wants jelly with her rolls

Shes back to her old habits, little does she know
Her baby cousin cries for her in hopes her faith would grow
What does it take, the cousin cries to God
How can they come close to you like two peas in a pod?
