The memory of your kiss
fades from my mind

with tear filled eyes

as my lonely heart goes numb

the scars on my wrist
show how hard this is for me
I remember how our love was
and wonder if this can really be

in a desperate way
I open my mouth to speak
but I find no words to say

I don't know how I'm hanging on
but I can't do this much longer
I want this pain to be gone

I never wanted it to be this way
sunny days are still cold,
easy nights filled with darkness
without you here for me to hold

I was safe inside your arms
I loved you more everyday
you made me feel beautiful and
wanted; in some mysterious way

but now I write about our love,
how its so broken too
your loving smiles and sweet words
you had for me made me love you

I don't know what to say
except I miss you so much
theres not one that can ever
make up for you and your soft touch
