Make Heart Breakers Pay

by Sarah Ann   May 19, 2006

I don't want to fall in love
Just to break my heart once more
I'm scared that maybe you won't care
And so then kick me out the door

Just maybe it is right this time
But my intuition won't let go
My heart is eager for new love
I promise, won't let it happen so

You don't deserve my fragileness
It is not yours to cut and bruise
Sensitivity is what keeps me whole
Never once again will I be used

Solemnly I now swear in blood
If love is to ever come my way
I will be the first to kill its course
And make all heart breakers pay

Its a very nice poem...but you must realize...not every one who is heart broken is heart broken intentionally...most ppl feel really bad afterwards...but in order to be happy..some one else must pay the price..its impossible to keep every one happy...people are sometimes forced to make decisions they end up regreting..but its what happens...me personally think the ppl who break ppls hearts daily and for the heck of it should pay al right.....this is a very nice poem....i can understand it....5/5

Unique take on a poem. I actually like this one and if you read comments leave for people it is rare I'll tell anybody that. It just seemed to flow right maybe except for this line. I suggest maybe just taking the second 'I" out:
"I promise, I won't let it happen so"
Otherwise it really is an enjoable read not really cliche love poem style but rather the true pain and not wanting to fall in love after heartbreak.
