Sleeping rain

by Princess Demonica   May 20, 2006

Dormant all these months.
Quiet in redemption.
Sleeping in the dark.
Feeling colorless and pallid.

Draped in midnight robes
Of velvet.
Icy fingers reaching for
Something they cannot grasp

Sleeping rain i beseech thee,
Come and wash away the dark
From my very soul.
Coolness soothes my burning
skin.

Spatters of rain hit my face.
Water washes away the sin.
The sin that taints
my aura. My soul.

It cleanses us all.
