Angela this poem is actually kind of calm and comforting. I know you entered it in the contest and I really wish you luck in it. I entered too, "Wandering Soul." but yours is so good that I'm jealous of it.

Angela, this poem makes everyone want a guardian angel. I really enjoyed your last stanza.

Oh wow, I can't believe I have never visited your earlier work before, I am so glad that I did.

This poem is so beautiful, and so wa4m. It really shows that comfort and protection a loved one can give us, and a guardian angel has over us. It is one of these poems that shows how angels can be here and now with us, they can be real and we can feel them around us through a friend or someone close, or someone who has been sent into our life.

I like your wording and especially in this stanza:

    your golden hands, soothing
    holding me, bringing warmth
    after the coldness of disaster
    left me cringing in pain

    - the contrast here between how you felt, and how this person comforted you, was incredible. Really descriptive and easy to imagine just how much they were there to get you through the dark time.

I am so glad I have my angel :) <3
