What a Life

by *Amanda*   May 21, 2006

Mascara runs down my cheeks and I sit here alone,
Every thing's faded,
I have nothing to know.
Tell me that you can't see my heart
Now that it's torn in two,
I refuse to let go of my happiness, this will never be through.
There's a moment of silence,
Sharp as a knife
What a poorly chosen path I am on,
What a life, what a life.

Endings don't sit well, and good-byes aren't forever
Let me take you in my arms, angel
We're supposed to be together.
Somebody so atrocious can't tear you from me...
When can I re-enter my world, with no confinement, just free?
If only you knew the fight that I'm forced to endure,
The persistence of your memory hasn't faded,
Be sure.

I wish I could give this poem more than 5/5. It is so freaking beautiful. It really touched my heart because I have been there.
