Broken Heart

I want my heart to pound the way it used too.
The way it did before I even knew you.

I'd rather want my heart cold like concrete
rather then it skipping a beat,
every time our eyes meet.

I want my heart to stop pounding slow and fast at the same time.
The feeling your giving me should be considered a crime.

I want my heart to stop making me feel week around you.
Take a look what you've gotten my heart into.

If you wanted my heart to end up like this mess.
then i must confess.. you've managed to do it with success.

And the worst part of my heart being like this is..
that you were my first love, my first kiss.

I don't think anyone can ever have this feeling that I'm feeling.
A lot of time has gone by, but my heart hasn't even begun healing.

Is this what every love turns out to be?
Because if it is I'll never be able to live happily.

You've broken a heart, its been shattered.
I don't think at any point that to you it even mattered.

Now I'm stuck with a useless heart.
Will it be back to normal.. or will stay broken apart.

I guess time can only tell.
