Never stopped loving you

**this is the first poem I've summitted.. so.. let me know what you think**

you know we never were together long
just a couple of months
not much of each other did we see
but to know you loved me
that was all i ever needed

we fought a lot
said things we didn't mean
so I told you I wanted time
that we would still be together
but the fighting needed to stop

you cheated on me, twice
with two of my very best friends
they don't mean much to me anymore
just two backstabbers and one two-timer
yeah, thats you

though I forgave you, as I forgave them
I just wanted you to be happy
but it killed me inside
seeing you with them
it hurt so bad to know I was replaced

since I couldn't be with you
I wanted be friends
and that we were
that whole summer long
while your precious girlfriend was away

I never told her about that summer
how we hung out everyday
I knew you liked me
and of course
I loved you

I didn't want to ruin your relationship with her
because I never wanted to sink so low
you've been together for 10 months now
no one knows how long you'll last
we used to think that maybe..
we could make it work someday

but we both know that wont happen
we're both in serious relationships now
we're both deeply in love
so you see..
i never stopped loving you, i just stopped letting it show
