A Bond No One Else Has

We were younger,
And had no relationship,
But age made a difference,
Time went on,
And I grew closer to you,
I never actually thought,
That something like this could happen,
Because of all the things we went through,
You blamed a lot of things on me,
And thought that I was favored,
I really don't think that was true though,
You had four years of love in your past,
That I had to catch up to,
And still to this day,
They love me differently,
The way a parent should love a second child,
As we've grown up together,
I've formed a bond with you,
That I'll never have with anyone else,
I hope you know that,
I cherish every moment with you,
And even if we do fight sometimes,
You have become my biggest role model,
And no one can replace that,
Because without you in my life,
I don't know where I'd be.
