Fake Happy Hiding Smile

by Lydia   May 22, 2006

My whole world has disappeared
In front of you I shed no tears
I try to fake my happy smile
It works you're blind for a while

Then one day you notice it
I'm not me it doesn't fit
The laugh you knew oh so well
Wasn't mine but you wouldn't tell

You played along
Then heard the song
The one I wrote
The one we gloat

The true meaning behind the words
The true feelings that want to hurt
The things I hide deep inside
With my fake happy hiding smile

Only then did you confront me
Told me then to show feelings
I cried that night for all hours
I was okay you lent your shoulder

If only this was true
Then I wouldn't be scared to tell you
Of what I'm hiding deep inside
To tell of my fake happy hiding smile
