She lives her life full of crosses (just criss-cross)

by sylvia   May 22, 2006

Her hair falling peacefully down her face
her eyes full of tears, has she fallen from her grace?
her life was perfect, her love was clear
but what she's kept inside is what she's been dying for you to hear

she takes away her pain and she makes her life hell
she screws in the corks, and she breaks all the bells
"oh won't they just leave!, why do they stay?"
she thinks as she cleans up her world that's so gray

her love for him was genuine, her love for him was pure
but she couldn't understand how he became the opposite of her only cure
her life before him was filled with innocence, filled with many thoughts
once he entered, he replaced those things, it was he who her thoughts crossed

he took away her fears and he held her close to his soul
the irony when he left her and she took that heart-shattering blow
she bottled up her emotions and shut it tight
it was him who she thought of every single night

now she's about to crumble down
she's about to kill this emotional frown
she knows how she'll accomplish this
she knows how to end this

she gathered up her strength, and she retracted her anger
she feels for him as nothing but a lone stranger,
just getting in her way in life

just criss-cross
just criss-cross
and maybe it'll go
just maybe the pain will leave

she picks it back up
she picks up her swiss army knife and she wipes it clear
she looks down at all the stains
and she wipes away all her tears

let's replace this internal pain and lets make more physical pain
let's forget this world and remember the good times
just don't dwell in the past
cause we all know that nothing ever lasts
let this be my last drop of love for you
"let this be my last tear I've cried for you"
