You said no regrets
lets have a good time
i knew you,
i thought id be fine

i snuck out of my window
and on to the street
i got into your car
and got into my seat

i asked where we were going
you said wait, cause its a surprise
i trusted you completely
when you blindfolded my eyes

you took me too a picnic spot
it is right out on the cliff
i knew the area very well
i used to play there as a kid

we sat out there together
alone together in the breeze
we enjoy each others company
and the crashing wild seas

i was the first to here them
they were trying to start a fight
they Had to muck to drink
they were feeling a little light

they tried to take you wallet
you told them to get lost
but when you did you had know idea
that those words came at a great cost

they came upon you and beat you
you tried to put up a fight
i ran to try to get us help
but the track was nowhere in sight

they found me and they attacked me
the hit me and left me for dead
they kicked me and they punched me
they left without one word said

i woke up in hospital
with my family all around
the last thing i remembered
was lying face down on the ground

they told me you'd been murdered
i screamed No, it couldn't be true
i never told you the way i felt
how much i loved you

i sat there at your funeral
all i did was cry
i couldn't believe that you were gone
it was not your time to die

you life was taken
by a few drunken men
it was the worst end to a perfect evening
i did not want it to end

but now i know your watching me
drying my tears whenever i weep,
you dry my tears and tell me
you are with me when i sleep
