Life line.

by Kate   May 23, 2006

Your lifeline is fading,
The end is near.
Too numb to feel,
So nothing to fear.

Angry with everything,
So sick of this life.
But will you think of me,
When you pick up the knife.

The ends were fraying,
But the middle held strong.
Maybe if i fixed this,
You could still hold on.

When will they notice,
You could only wait.
Everyone is aware now,
Only it's too late.

If i knew all along,
Perhaps im to blame.
Try to ignore it,
But it stays the same.

Your end is coming soon,
Just not caused by fate.
Blindly I'll try to stop you,
From this death you create.

But my rescue fails,
The plan has gone wrong.
Can't save someone,
Who is already gone.

Overpowered by your pain,
The darkness covering you.
If only you could see,
It was smothering me too.

The night was dark,
Yet the moon shone bright.
I knew something was wrong,
But couldn't make it right.

Your lifeline has faded
The end just came.
Now the emptiness that surrounds us,
Will remain the same.
