This life we live
isn't fair
nones a friend and
no one cares
cold and lonely
nones there
to hold you close when you get scared
the world around us
is a cruel place
meeting new people
the challenges we face
teenage moms and
teenage dads
neglected babies
its all so sad
drive by shootings
and types of abuse
alcoholism
and different drug use
living each day
like its our last
never knowing what to expect
as the minutes pass
