How can you love me?

Love me?
You say that you love me,
But we only just met.
You write me a note,
Telling me the so called
TRUTH!
You have poetry in your soul,
And love in your heart,
But I don't think it can be for me.
I could always use the anecdote
"We're just to young,"
But that's a lie,
I've loved before,
But just not you....

I've loved him,
And her,
Loved people that haven't loved me.
But how can you love me?
I'm not that girl,
The one people see,
And I'm not as I seem.
I'm the dark,
Shedding no light on the situation,
But holding no secrets from the light
That makes me disappear.

I don't love you...
That is the final
And harsh truth.
But I also don't want you to love me.
You CAN'T love me.
There's nothing here for you to want.
