Gut Check

Everything i have ever known,
is coming to an end
its ending-
waking up to see the sun
my glazed eyes will nevermore fix themselves on that now dusty building.
i look- its so far away in my rear view mirror.

was it always this small?

my friends, and mentors are all cheering me on- but that wont help-
everything i have ever known is gone away- just like that they take it from you and make you begin your life

will i sink or swim?

i dont know what to think or do
but i get this feeling that it'll be o.k.
i check myself- yes, i am smiling
