I write my poems for me not you
I write them when I'm sad and blue
I write them when I'm hurt inside
I write them when I've cried and cried
I write my poems for love and life
I write them about hate and strife
I write them about hopes and dreams
I write them about broken hearts and broken seams
I write my poems to let out the pain
I write them when I feel far from sane
I write them when I feel numb and alone
I write them when I feel far from home
I write my poems for memories
I write them about birds and bees
I write them about adventures and tales
I write them about me when all else fails
