Still So Real

by Tom Swart   May 24, 2006

" Still So Real "

As the rain falls outside.
It speaks of memories
and reminds me of the dreams
that were lived during its speeches.

The mist and wet grounds
seemed to be dessert
for those close
and warm moments.

Times when I could
embrace you my love,
short niches in time
when all would be still.
Where only love spoke
and where our hearts
did our thinking.

Those soft and tender
times that we would
share together embraced
in our love are
fresh to mind and
close to heart.

Simple moments are
Precious in thought
as I go to that short
kiss or the touch of
your face against my chest.

That caring smile,
that knowing look,
that loving tear
are as real now as
when they happened.

Thank you my love.

Your emotion is so strong and even though there wasn't any rhyme the flow was still great!

Very beautiful. I enjoyed this write a lot. You are one of those poets who does free verse very well, and because of that I'm learning to like it! lol I've always been a rhymer, but lately have experimented (sp?) with free verse. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you for all your kind comments. It's nice to have a new reader who actually TELLS you what they think. Thank you so much!
