Cats

Cats,
A jungle of eyes,
Watching,
Hunting,
Never stopping,
You see them,
But you don't,
A shadow,
Strange sound,
Loud Miaow,
And silence.

You seem lost
They never are.
You smell them,
Almost hear them,
But are you so sure,
That it is them?

Never safe,
Their claws,
And teeth,
So sharp,
Rip into your flesh,
It hurts.
But could it
Be them?

On a pillow,
So kind,
No monster,
Just a cat.

It purrs,
Plays with
Its tale.

Is it the same one,
Or a clone?

Drinks its milk,
Lies to sleep,
Goodnight
Little one,
Sweet dreams,
Good bye.
