Simple Sadness

by Clarity   May 24, 2006

There's fog insde the glass,
Surrounding my heart.
Fog inside the wall I built myself.
The wall I thought you'd tear down.

Cause you saved me
You reached out and saved me

But you couldn't break the wall
Even though you tried
It was to much for you.

I was too screwed up
To young, to filled with sadness

You still stand by my side though
There but not there
Imagining the life you could be having.

And I watch the sunset,
Feeling old before my time.

Good peice, really like the alteration of stanza lengh, it adds much interest to the peice and helps to hold a readers attention.

the first stanza is fantastic, really hooks the reader and i love the ideas portrated within it.
