Screams

It's the sound of painful screams
That rips apart all of my dreams

When she screams because the one she loves
Just basically does what he does

She screams to make the pain go away
From when she gets hit and from what he has to say

She screams but it's muffled by the hand of a friend
Nothing happened that day, or so she will pretend

She screams into her pillow when she thinks too much
she screams when she feels his touch

She screams when she looks at a picture of someone
Without her, she feels so undone

She screams when she takes the razor to her skin
The pain comes rushing out from within

She screams when the family starts to fight
She hates when she can't sleep at all at night

She starts to run far, far away
To where it's so silent that she can say whatever she wants to say

She stands on the mountain looking down on this small town
She can see little dots just walking around

She screams so loud that her chest begins to hurt
She screams so much that she falls to the dirt

She's letting it out and she's starting to cry
It hurts so much and it won't pass by

I'm living my life through all of these screams
Hoping one day, I'll know what every single one means
