Destiny Island

**My step-father and I are going to make it into a song...how cool!!**
***I made this one for my English class on Imagagry Poems. We each had a different picture and had to write about it. I had a beach theme.***

Look up into the palm trees, where the coconut grows
Smell the salty air as it flows past your nose
Lift your head up high and let your hair blow in the breeze
Fall asleep on the chairs underneath the palm trees
Climb upon the mountains to see a startling view
Observe all the wonderful sights all around you
Taste the coconuts milk and the salty sea
Staying upon this Isle well call Destiny
Feel the sun on your face as you play in the sand
Or on your back as you walk hand-in-hand
Wiggle your toes along the waters edge
Dont even think about the next days ahead
Embrace the moment, it wont last forever
Just stand there, hand-in-hand, together
Gaze over the water, rest your eyes all around
Stare out into the Island and all of its ground
Capture the memory, imprint it in your brain
Keep if for all those times you need to release the pain
Remember the way that the air had tasted
Dont think that that time napping, was wasted
Remember how the palm trees were sp green
Think back to all the things you have seen
Listen to the seagulls crying up above
Think of the Island and just fall in love.
