She sits in the rain

by kelsey   May 25, 2006

She sits in the rain
Her eyes to the ground
Abuse, drugs, no hope to be found
She sits in the rain
Her pain flows away
To the sewer, to the rats
She sits in the rain
The drugs wear away
The memories return

She sits in the rain
Alone with the storm
Her blood flows a fresh
No one sees
The cuts in her flesh
She doesn't want to be there
The rain is falling hard
She feels herself starting to fall
But said she had to stay
Her heart was aching
Her eyes began to close
She wills herself to stay awake
But then she doesn't know
Her life was almost ended
She begins to slip away
No one noticed her sitting there
In the falling rain

Her life flows away
Her body is left alone
Yet as the people walk on by
They all leave her behind
A girl in need
She had no hope
People pass
She is unknown
Untouched by all
No one sees the sadness
The grief that over whelmed
All alone
The girl in the dark
Without hope without light
Alone In the rain
Until people see, she's not unknown, untouched
But seen
