LIKE A DRUG

by meryl   May 25, 2006

LIKE A DRUG YOU TAKE AWAY ALL MY PAIN,
WITH YOU I FEEL WITH SUCH INTENSITY I WANT TO EXPLODE,
YOU ARE MY RELIEF FROM LIFE I USE YOU INSTEAD OF THE NEED TO BLEED,
I AM ADDICTED TO YOU AND EVERYTHING YOU ARE,
YOUR KISSES AND SOFT TOUCH ARE LIKE HEROIN TO ME,
I FEEL FREE FROM THE WORLD AROUND,
FOR OUR OWN SELFISH REASONS WE RETURN TO EACH OTHER TIME AFTER TIME AS WE BELIEVE WHAT WE ARE DOING IS RIGHT,
NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO DECLARE HOW WE TRULY FEEL WE LIE NEXT TO STRANGERS KNOWING THAT WITH EACH OTHER FEELS LIKE HOME,
THIS LOVE TO ME IS PURE AND TRUE,UNTAINTED BY THE CRUEL WORLD OUTSIDE,
BUT I KNOW I WILL NEVER CALL YOU MINE SO WE\'LL CONTINUE LIVING THIS BEAUTIFUL LIE
