Hiding the Truth

by Raychil   May 25, 2006

She had everything a girl ever wanted
She had beauty beyond compare
She was the queen of the school
Girls praised and boys would stare

But then man came into her room
Just a few nights ago
She had left her window open
Letting the night breeze blow

But her peaceful sleep was ruined
As he took the innocence she saved
She tried to scream many times
But breath, she'd been depraved

She wouldn't tell any one about it
"After-all, what would they think?
They would probably hate her"
She thought as she felt her heart sink

Many hours passed by
From night until dawn
She no longer felt her queenly self
She was now a lowly pawn

Tears stung her eyes
She'd do anything to erase it all
She spotted something,
Through the tears she now let fall

She grabbed the shinning object
Holding it was bliss
She released so much agony
As the object kissed her wrist

She covered up her arms
And hid the object away
For now it never existed
At least until the next day

This is what she's come to
Because she's so scared of people knowing
She'll do anything to hide it away
To keep the truth from showing.

*this is not a true story (at least that I know of).

Oh wow. This was very sad. I loved how it flowed, and the Personification was amazing. Great Job, I really liked this one because it might be happening in our world today. You are an excellent story teller!

(Thanks so much for the comments! I do have a little abstract way in describing my feelings. But, thanks for the prayers! They are well appreciated.)
