I Still Love You

by DaddysLittleDefect   May 26, 2006

This was written about my ex... it's a long story but this is bery much true.

Years of watching, waiting
hating your girlfriends
Has finally paid off.

Every night I'd dream of you,
and get up disappointed.
But this time I woke up in your arms.

You were everything and more,
I had never been so whole,
and things had never felt so right.

Reality never did have the chance to hit me
before just as quickly as you came,
you were snatched away again.

You wanted the best
and that just wasn't me.
The next thing I know I'm all alone.

Then I started to hear things.
People repeating what you'd said.
Are you capable of such hurtful words?

So you never really loved me,
you never really cared,
and I was just to pass the time?

Blinded by my trusting ignorance,
I was lied to and I was betrayed,
so why do I miss you?

You somehow found a way
to break my heart twice at once
and yet I only want you more.

You have a new girlfriend now
and you'll break her heart too
because that's just what you do.

So though I know it won't change anything
I feel that you deserve to know
that I still love you.

Don't EVER f**king question that.

I felt at times this read more like a story than a poem, but nontheless it was still beautiful.
I loved the ending..intense and hardhitting.
