The Floor

by The Bi Dude   May 26, 2006

I see you, lingering, by the door
You look like your about to hit the floor.
Your face, stuck in my mind
The face no one could find.
The floor, cracked and cold
Like the letters, you used to fold.
Their words, bringing me to tears
Just like all of my fears
You left me, like paper on the floor
And you just walked out the door.

The trees, haunting me with heat
Just like the heart you beat.
The ancient beat of the drums, floating to my brain
As I run out into the pouring rain.
The shaman dances in the circle of flame
As I scream in vain.
The clocks, never right
And the sun is never bright
The moon has lost its shine
I am yours, and you are mine
The time rolls back, as the tide loses its name

I give you my heart, it's yours to claim
If it breaks, I'm not to blame.
I told you I would bleed for you, but you never took the chance
You passed me by with just one glance
You couldent even stop to say the time
Your words never did rhyme
You always found a way to make me cry
even though you made me feel like I could fly
you left me with the memories of waking up to your face
you left me bleeding; in sweet disgrace
As my face lies on this cold bathroom floor
You left me crying for more
On this cold bathroom floor
