For Mema- Beloved Grandmother

by Macabre   May 26, 2006

Mema was my grandmother, and I don't have any recollection of her as I was young when she died... (like 1 or 2 years old)

This is for her...

White roses,
on a marble cross,
your mind lives on,
within all our hearts.

You were not a poet,
but enough of one yes,
the way your mind thought,
made all turn out for the best.

You cared when we were sick,
You came when we cried,
You were always there to comfort me,
Me and my baby behind.

Your outlook on life was like no other,
You took none for granted,
and always were kind.

You raised your boys well,
taught them to be good men,
You remain remembered still-
In my heart,
you always will.

As I look back on you now,
I don't recall knowing you,
but watching mere videos,
brings tears to our eyes.

Pepa surely misses you,
he loved you very much,
he loved your soul,
your heart,
and everything as such.

So this is for you,
My Mema,
so that I can look to you when I have reason to fear.

You will always be there,
be guarding us all,
and thats the greatest gift,
your love,
For Mema.

Your ashes remain,
in that Mirroring lake,
and on top of peaks,
of the Centennial State.

We loved you so dearly,
Greatly are you missed,
What Pepa would have given,
for just one more kiss.
