A Gift of a Black Rose

by Courtnie   May 27, 2006

A lonely girl curled on her bed
curled so tight knees toughing her head
Darkness lingers around in her air
Sadness covered by her long dark hair
In front of her, one black rose
Here\'s the gift she chose

Gift of a black rose
So pretty, yet so cold
Hope for a better day
Hope of it to stay
Gift of a black rose

In school this girl is the loner
No death in her life, not the average mourner
Invisible to all around
Her head remians focused on the ground
Stalking her; one black rose
Stalking her; the gift she chose

Her life was never like this
It was full of bliss
It changed with her choices
Unheard over many voices
Her gift; her bane.
Her heart now slain

A gift of a black rose
So pretty, yet so cold
Hope for a better day
Hope for it to stay

A gift of a black rose
So pretty and cold
