To The Far Edge Of Reality, Undetected

by DarkxBlood   May 27, 2006

I shall cast my eyes upon the hills,
from whence cometh my help.

I stray to the far edge of reality
as to not get involved
locked away inside of myself
and sheltered from the rest of the earth.

I cast my gaze unto my shriveled hands
for they retain my joyfulness

As i may lay my head on feather pillows
I just as well lie down on rocks
for comfort is only glorious
when thy mind rests in Sanctuary.

I wish to reside in safe distances
away from combat and chaos.

How I long to be all safe and warm
in my own Little Quiet Corner
yet I am left quite neglected in wide open spaces
with nobody but me to rely on.

I am totally famished
but definitely standing
and I say, completely alive.

But wouldn't it be nice
to just follow his advice
and slip away
just as silently
as I arived.

    Hey.
    Thanks.
Its nice to hear someone say they understand and not say something false and inspirational about something they know nothing about.

This poem is very thought provoking. Usually you read a poem and you just take it in. With this I really had to think about what was written.
I know it's wierd but can you enjoy reading a poem? It felt... different? reading your poem, is what I'm trying {not very well} to say. :)
    Anyways, V. cool and original.
