Lies

She says shes fine
when deep inside
Shes only telling herself more lies
with all reason left behind

Theres not a day that goes by
when she doesn't put on that mask
Everyday is a lie
we all know the happiness wont last

Sure enough, when shes all alone
her mask shatters and falls
No one else is home
her eyes are filled with so much pain, hoping no one else will call

Day after day, she hides her pain
she hides the truth, she hides her scars
Scars that will never fade
from the body lifeless beneath the stars
