You're Standing With Some Friends, Swaying To The Beat, Listening To The Footsteps, Reverberate Underneath Your Feet. You Walk Away From The Crowd, Just As A Slow Rhythm Comes On, And He Asks You If You'll Dance, With Him For This One Song. At First Its Kind Of Awkward, And You Try To Hide Your Smile, Then You Close Your Eyes, And Sway For A Little While. You're Listening To His Heart, Feeling His Chest Rise And Fall, You Cant Believe You Are With Him, You Cant Believe It At All. But Then Much To Your Dismay, Your Dance With Him Ends, You Say Your Goodbyes, Then Return To Your Friends. You Dance With Other People, But Those Dances Aren\'t The Same, One More Dance With Him, Is Mainly Where You Aim. You Gather Up Your Courage, Your Steps From Him Are Few, But As Soon As You Touch His Shoulder, Someone Else Does To. He Turns To Face The Other Girl, And Doesn't Even See You There, You Feel So Heavily Crushed, With So Much Unwanted Despair. It Wouldn't Have Mattered So Much, Except It Was The Last Slow song, And Now You Feel Disappointed, That You Wasted Your Last Chance. Your Friend Gives You A Funny Look, And Asks You Why You're Crying, You Explain To Her What Happened, And She Tells You To Stop Your Whining. She Says There Are Many Other Girls, That Wanted To Dance With Him To, But They Didn't Get A Chance, Because He Was to Focused On You.
