Forbidden Pool

by Resplendant Rose   May 28, 2006

Silent in the steaming pool
the sky above is grey
wonder why the world is cruel
maybe i can slip away

i let myself begin to fall
like a small forgotten stone
the sun's rays do enthral
my mind lets out a moan

water swirling about my head
darkness engulfs so pure
all my worries shed
the depths have such a lure

beauty with its horror
my pale face slips below
an incandescent mirror
along the river's flow
